So since I said (in my previous post) that my next post will be about my demise, I shall rant a little about what happened on that disastrous Sunday night.

I was supposed to perform twice - once at 8pm and again at 10.15pm. Details aside (but I will tell you that tempers ran high. Very high), the first performance was okay and I kept my flute...while being stared at because there was no room to keep my stuff - they were all on the floor IN FRONT OF THE GUESTS. They said beforehand that we'll be provided with food after our performance.

And their idea of 'after the orchestra performance' is this: 'Oh, sorry; we forgot to save tables for you, would you mind sitting this out or sharing with the rest?'

Gawd, was I angry. But not much because I wasn't really hungry and I hear the sanitary condition of the kitchens weren't exactly satisfactory either....

At 10pm we lined up outside to perform. Fine by me. So we milled around, warmed up, sang along with Vic Teo (because cmon, who can resist singing Belaian Jiwa when it's sung by THE Vic?)...and waited, and waited, and waited.

Until 11.45pm.

I was fuming by then. I mean, they left us waiting, standing, for two freaking (please, forgive the language) hours! Some parents were angry. Scratch that, most were irked beyond belief.

Then at 11.55pm the MBS choir teacher came up to us and said yes, we still have to perform, but would we mind waiting a while longer? And she somehow managed to say all that with this saccharine sweet (and obviously FAKE) smile which I felt tempted to rip off. Gah.

We finally performed around midnight, two hours after the scheduled time, and much to my chagrin it was an utter disaster. It sucked royally because 1. We didn't really get to warm up (couldn't be too loud lest we disrupt the other performances, never mind that we were outside the hall). and 2. We. Totally. Didn't. Manage. To. Synchronise. With. MBS.  The songs we sang together did little more than jar my ears; it was that horrible.

If any MBS boys are reading this (fat chance of that...) I'm sorry, but I really need to let off some steam. Admit it - your fund-raising event sorely lacked organisation. It could have been better regardless of the amount you guys managed to get that night.

Okay, end of rant, so you people can stop wondering when this old whiner will stop complaining  XD

O-kayy...now I'm positive that I'm suicidal. Digital painting in the middle of exams indeed. Thank God dad isn't home otherwise I'd end up becoming mincemeat.
